Why book through a story
Because review aggregators are flattened by sock-puppet five-stars and review-bombing. Because OTA listings strip the property of voice. Because the question "is this place worth going to?" is answered better by 2,400 honest words than by 4.6 stars. The creators on Trepic do not have to love every place — they often do not — and reading their actual experience is the closest thing to talking to a friend who just got back.
What it costs
Reading is free. Booking through a dispatch is the same price as booking direct with the hotel. The creator earns commission from the hotel — up to 20% — when you book and read through. There is no markup on you.
